This enclave of strata link houses gave us the oppurtunity to reinvent the ubiquitous Malaysian link house, which is typically dark and stuffy. Changing the dimensions from an oblong to a squarer footprint made each floor brighter and appear more spacious.
The traditional airwell, long abondoned for security reasons, was reinterpreted as an open decks adjacent to each party wall, creating an additional external facade for natural lighting and ventilation. The resultant facade presents each home as a detached unit.
