C’arch Architecture + Design
Perspectives are negated as in Chinese art, by an undulating ground plane connected to the park. The museum does not sit on a horizon. Rather, it is lifted above on a series of semi circular piloti that punch through the sky, painting the vast undercroft with light, awash with different intensities, providing the space for sculpture, auditoria and socializing. The light invites you and enter into it, rising into the building.
The exhibition spaces and the library are connected by a series of passages or walks and garden courts, traversing the entire length and height of building, providing thematic spaces for socializing, rest, refreshment and contemplation. The gardens bring lights into the building as well as become orientation points within.
