A Gateway to ASEAN Trade
SELTEC was a feasibility exercise with the objective to enable Selangor as an ASEAN trade hub on a 143-acre site, strategically located along the ELITE highway connecting KLIA and Kuala Lumpur.
A distinct 750-m central spine on the elongated site accommodates an ASEAN bazaar, a sheltered component throughout SELTEC for the flexibility of trading to take place. Vistas are created as one moves around with references to signature towers at opposing ends of the spine, while three character gateways further demarcates entrances and districts’ identities and orientations.
Amongst the planning of densities and economy, the bazaar is planned within 26 acres of parks and plazas embedded in entire SELTEC to create a healthy, sustainable environment.
