An Ode to Labour of Love
The three-storey bungalow aspires to replicate its serene tropical surrounding within Kuala Lumpur as a retirement residence that strives for engineering excellence and sustainable living lifestyle.The house comprises two main wings protruding out of the site’s existing topography with an engineering feat of 10-meter cantilever above the porte cochere.
At the heart of the house, a spacious dry kitchen connects both wings and to cater for the family’s anticipation for future gatherings and celebrations. Thresholds of layered walls and internal courtyards seek to establish a relationship between the built and natural environment.
A project placed close to the client’s heart, the bungalow will be an ode to his life-long work in the construction industry.
