C’arch Architecture + Design
Paramit Corporation, a US-based manufacturer registered with the FDA with facilities in California and Malaysia, provides fully integrated engineering, manufacturing, and post-manufacturing services to medical device and instrument companies. We were approached in 2014 to design a new 12,000 sqm factory and offices in Penang, Malaysia that would embody their world leading and innovative approach to manufacturing.
The proposal implements an innovative approach to energy usage that utilizes passive and state of the art cooling and a innovative liquid desiccant dehumidifying system designed by Transsolar, Germany. The main facade was inspired by the need for passive climatic shelter from the elements and Paramit Corporation’s genome sequencing research.
